The tears of Beichuan. The recent earthquake in China.

As of right now in Beichuan, China, there are thousands of people who are lost and have died. It is because of the earthquake that has recently hit China. Half of Beichuan's human population had decreased. The chinese authorities are in a very difficult situation right now. Many offices, building, schools were ruined. The schools had collapsed while 800 students were in the building. Beichuan is in the status of cannot being rebuilt. Beichuan desperately needs help.

Beichuan lies in the moutains which rise up from the rice growing plains of Sichuan, to the Tibetan plateau to the north. The town in Beichuan was built in 1951. The town was already known as a place which was at risk of earthquakes. Longmen or Dragon Gate seismic fault, had triggered the quake. The magnitude of the earthquake was approximately 8.0.

There were approximately 3.3million tents for the homeless. It also increased the offical death toll of 55,000 in China. From the survivors, 4,000 of them were orphans. There was no decision or hope for their future until the situation of the missing became clear. The ground and the dams became unstable to.

Chinese people say that this event can be remembered as a history. Many loved ones had died because of the earthquake. Beichuan is asking for all the help they can get. It is said the Beichuan is impossible to rebuild. The landscapes had changed if you look from above. Anouther earthquake may be heading towards anywhere. It is always good to be ready. This may be the beginning of a huge natural disaster.

The Grudge against C.U.C

My family and I had been recently suffering from the power outages. The Commonwealth Utility Center (AKA C.U.C) is the main power plant system in Saipan. Power outages last 2-4 hours and sometimes two times a day. In a tropical and humid climate like Saipan where hibiscus grow and plumerias bloom, it is almost impossible to live without an aircon. There are 3 main reasons how C.U.C affected my family and the economy in the biggest way.

The first reason is because it affected my family financially. My father owns a building. We make a living out of the rent. As the consistent power outages went on, more and more complaints came in. It was the fact about that we did not have generators to have a backup system for electricity as the other buildings did. The renters started to move out one by one. As I come back from school, I notice the building getting more and more empty. This affected my family the most.

The second reason is because it affected the poor economy. Saipan's garment factories were the main source keeping the economy moving. As the garment factories closed down, the economy came to its lowest state as of the financial income. The economies finanial income got lower and lower as the power bills doubled up. There are less jobs then ever and the minimum wage is not enough to support the families in Saipan. People in Saipan are at a most difficult state as of right now.

The third reason is because of the techinical difficulties. I have already fixed my computer 4 times because of the power outages. As I use the computer, the power suddenly goes out. The computer techinician always says the same reason why the computer broke. It was because of the power suddenly going out, and affecting the computer. I am currently in a P.C. room doing my blog project. It is almost the end of the school year and I have many projects to finsih. The fact that the power going out affects me in a great way.

Saipan seriously needs a helping had of money donations or any other sourt of things. The goverment is also unstable because they don't know what to do. People say that 100 dollars a barrel of gas would lead to the end of the world, but it will soon be reaching up to 200 dollars a barrel of gas. The maine source of Saipan's financial income are the garment factories, and the tourism industry which are rapidly decreasing. I do not know what will be the future of Saipan.

Tips for a freshmen

I am a freshmen that goes Saipan Southern High school. It's my first time going to a public school from a private school. I have been going to Saipan Southern High for about now 9 months, and in that period of time I had learned so much. My family also supported me and also my friends and teachers. The freshmen year is really important so try to pay attention while the teacher talks.

The first day of school, try to make a friend. I myself had made many new friends. As you step in the school front, try to find a guy that looks friendly and say a friendly hi and ask him what is your name. It may be a bit embarrasing, but try it out, I bet he'll be one of your closes friends. Try to say hi to many people as you can.

Also in the first day of school, try to look good to the teachers. Sit in your best way with your back straight up an listen closely what the teachers tell you. Give your teacher a smile and do your best when he or she gives you homework. Turn in all you homework on time to. The freshmen year is important because your knowledge from the freshmen year will effect your studyings in your sophomore year. Make good eye contact also.

When it's time for lunch, look for a table with kids and ask them if you can join them. They'll probably say yes. As you sit with them, try to mingle about what they are talking about and that's how to make more friend's. Don't make a false personality trying to look so good, and try to be yourself.

False personalities would make it real hard for you in your school years. Be kind to everybody even to those who don't look that great to you. Don't try to make enemies with any body. It will hurt both of you in a way. Always do your best and I'll bet you it will be the best school year in your life.

The U.S in huge debt.

Recently, as I had done my research project, I have found out a fact that is so suprising about the U.S. How much the U.S is in debt because of the Iraq war. Now I know why people call George Bush and idiot. I have heard many places the U.S is in debt, but not this much. The U.S is being teared apart.

The U.S owes approximately 9.5 trillion dollars. All that money falls under the cause of the Iraq war. The U.S cannot even pay up that money because right now, they are currently broke. The money that is owed would more then likely to be paid by the future generation of the U.S. This burden will have an enormous impact on the U.S economy. Gas prices are going up higher, the growing rate of human popultion while the same rate of food source, and the U.S owes 9.5 million dollars. I think it will be really hard for the future generation in everything. If the national debt is paid by per person in the U.S, each person will approximately pay about $30,400. If the debt is paid off by per head in the U.S working Congretional Budget Office, it will be 60,100$ per head.

I think that it is about time to stop the war and start worrying about the debt. It is time that George Bush steps out of office and a new leader will be there for the U.S. I myself think that George Bush shouldn't be in the book of the list of presidents because he had done nothing. He is metioned as the looser of all times. This is what likey the future generation of the U.S has to deal with.
